The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced that it will create a "second Yeontral Park" by undergrounding most of the city's ground railways.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government emphasized that this plan not only enables large-scale green areas, but also uses the upper development gains from large-scale history in the city, such as Seoul Station and Yongsan Station, to develop the underdeveloped southwestern and northeastern regions by ground rail.
