Due to the government's increase in medical schools, the number of applications for medical schools in the 2025 school year has increased by 26% from last year.

According to the data released by Jongno Academy, the number of medical school applications was 72,351 as a result of early recruitment in 2025.

Compared to 57,192 applications for occasional medical schools last year, 15,159 cases and 26.5% increase in a year.

In the case of the occasional regional talent medical school screening, which can only apply to students in six regions across the country, the number of cases increased by 132% from 8,369 last year to 19,423.

The number of applications increased by 16.2% from last year when expanding to medicine departments such as medical schools, dental schools, oriental medicine schools, veterinary schools, and pharmaceutical schools.
