The Incheon District Court acquitted a woman in her 30s, who was put on trial for forcing her husband to divorce, saying she would report prostitution to the police.

The court said that the evidence submitted by the prosecutor alone does not mean that A acted to scare her husband to the extent that he limited his decision-making.

Mr. A was put on trial in 2021 on charges of forcing her husband, B, to divorce him by agreement, saying he would report his past prostitution.

The prosecution determined that B signed a divorce agreement to hand over ownership of the vehicle and pay 50 million won in alimony at the compulsion of A.

Mr. A argued in court that Mr. B had an affair, such as a conditional meeting, and argued that they had only agreed with each other and divorced.
