The maritime territorial dispute between China and the Philippines has been rekindled.

Attention is focusing on whether the turbulence will intensify or subside as Trump's second term is launched.

This is Beijing correspondent Kang Jeong-gyu.

Chinese troops have launched combat patrols in waters of territorial disputes with the Philippines.

It's been a day since we used a 1,000-ton Coast Guard ship to demonstrate force.

On the 10th, it announced a territorial steamer connecting 16 points on the coral island.

The Philippines recently responded to the Philippines' legalization of sovereignty over seven reefs in the South China Sea.

[Li Zhen / Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman] If the Philippines does not provoke again, there will be no turbulence in the maritime situation.]

Earlier on the 8th, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos signed the 'Sea Zone Act' and the 'Gundo Sea Route Act'.

It is a bill that nails the scope and rights of the 'West Philippine Sea' EEZ against the so-called 'South China Sea 10-dash line'.

Since the 4th, we have also been conducting island occupation and beach landing drills for two weeks.

It continued its fifth defense ministers' meeting with Australia since August last year, strengthening China's checks.

[Gilberto Teodoro / Philippine Defense Minister] If China's aggressive and illegal activities change, so will our calculations.]

The renewed maritime territorial dispute between China and the Philippines coincides with the launch of Trump's second term.

If the Biden-style China siege strategy with allies is loosened, the tumult may subside.

On the contrary, it means that China and the Philippines may clash with each other to gain an advantage before Trump takes office in January next year.
