Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce company, is opening a web store that sells ultra-cheap products, targeting Temu and Xu Yin, China's leading low-cost product platform, which is also expanding its reach in the United States.The Web store, named
Amazon Hall, sells ultra-cheap items such as clothing, household items and electronics under $20, including $1 oven gloves and $3 nail dryers.
'Amazon Hall' is available via the mobile app, with free shipping on orders over $25 and a $3.99 shipping charge on orders under $25.
Amazon said it continues to work with sales partners to find ways to deliver products at ultra-low prices, explaining that most purchases from the web store are delivered within two weeks.
As Temu and Xu Yin have expanded their presence in the U.S. through ultra-low-priced sales of clothing, electronics and home goods over the past two years, Amazon is also believed to have responded to them.
