North Korean State Councilor Kim Jong-un has repeatedly expressed his willingness to secure the strongest defense capability, saying he has become convinced of his hostile North Korea policy through negotiations with the United States in the past.

It seems to have drawn a line on the observation that the U.S.-North Korea dialogue could resume due to former President Trump's re-election.

I'm connecting with the reporter.

Reporter Lee Jong-won, please tell us the details of Chairman Kim's remarks.

Yes, the Korean Central News Agency reported yesterday that Kim Jong-un gave his opening speech at the opening ceremony of the armed equipment exhibition in Pyongyang.

Chairman Kim said he had already gone all the way to negotiations with the United States, and that what he was sure of in the end was not the willingness of the first country to coexist, but a stance of thorough power and an unchangeable hostile North Korea policy.

He mentioned that the two U.S.-North Korea summits under the first Trump administration ended without results, and it seems that he drew a line on the observation that the re-election of Trump could resume dialogue between North Korea and the U.S.

On the 15th, Chairman of the states Affairs Commission Kim previously emphasized strengthening nuclear force and preparing for war, along with a message of criticism toward the United States for the first time since Trump's election.

Again, the U.S. said it is expanding its nuclear-sharing military alliance to pressure North Korea, arguing that the strongest defense power is the only peace protection and security.

He also made it clear that he did not intend to engage in denuclearization negotiations, saying that in any case, he would not stand by and watch the situation where the country's security rights were violated and that there would never be a military counterweight.

The news agency also released photos of the exhibition along with the contents of Chairman Kim's speech.

It was introduced that the latest creations of the Defense Science and Technology Group were gathered based on strategic and tactical weapons.

The photo showed weapons systems unveiled by North Korea this year, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, ICBMs, hypersonic missiles, multiple rocket launchers, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The news agency said a commemorative concert was held along with a protest flight yesterday as a commemorative event.
