Two people, including a child, were injured in an unusual shooting in Britain, where gun control is strict.

The Metropolitan Police said an eight-year-old girl and a 34-year-old father were shot and seriously injured in a car in Ladbrokes Grove, west London, on the afternoon of the 24th local time.

The two-year-old brother and mother were also in the same vehicle, but were not injured.

Witnesses said they saw a man shoot multiple times at a vehicle from close range.

Police are investigating the motive of the crime by arresting a 22-year-old man on murder charges in connection with the incident.
