The UK's annual net immigration is a record 906,000.
The ONS said net immigration stood at 906,000 in 2023, with 1.32 million people moving to the UK and 414,000 leaving the UK.
Net immigration growth year-on-year reached 43%.
Net immigration in 2024 was provisionally tallied at 728,000, down 20% from the previous year.
The decline in net immigration is attributed to the tightening of visa rules by the former Conservative government, including restrictions on family companionship of international students, a ban on family members of care workers and an increase in wage requirements for skilled workers to reduce immigration.
