On the last trading day of November and for Black Friday, the New York Stock Exchange closed strong, breaking another record.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow closed 0.42% higher than the previous day, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq were also up 0.56% and 0.83% respectively.
The Dow and S&P 500 both hit their closing highs, while the Nasdaq rose 6.2% for the month of November, its highest gain since May.
The New York Stock Exchange closed at 1 p.m. earlier than usual for Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
Semiconductor-related stocks led the gains on the observation that a softer-than-expected regulation would come out, with the Biden administration's restrictions on semiconductor exports to China set to be announced as early as next week.
AI leader Nvidia rose 2.15%, while Lam Research closed up 3.23%.
