There have been warnings that North Korea could take bolder actions if Russia wins the war in Ukraine.

According to the Financial Times (FT) on the 29th local time, Richard Moore, director of the British Foreign Intelligence Agency (MI6), said, "If we do not support Ukraine, the loss is infinitely high," referring to countries such as North Korea and Russia.

"China will carefully examine its future impact, North Korea will be bolder, and Iran will be more dangerous than it is now," Moore said.

North Korea has provided Russia with weapons such as missiles and artillery shells and dispatched more than 10,000 troops despite violating international law and the U.N. resolution to impose sanctions on North Korea.

North Korea, which is supporting Russia, is likely to make more explicit provocations if Russia wins.

Moore also predicted that Russian President Vladimir Putin's victory would pose an additional threat to Europe as a whole.

Putin will not stop at making Ukraine a secular country, he warned, adding that the security of allies across the Atlantic, as well as Britain, France and Europe, will be at risk.

Moore's comments appear to be conscious of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who is skeptical of supporting Ukraine.

The purpose is to continue international support for Ukraine for global security.

France's counterpart Nicola Renair, who met with Moore in Paris, also mentioned the security crisis not only in Europe but also in the entire world.

"The war in Ukraine has jeopardized the security of all European countries," Lenair said, but noted that "what is happening in the Indo-Pacific region could also jeopardize the future of the world."

Renair's comments on the Indo-Pacific region seem to point to China's threat to Taiwan and North Korea's development of weapons of mass destruction.
