In the suspension of execution questioning filed by Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports Council, against the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's notice of suspension of duties, the two sides fought over the controversy over misconduct.

The Seoul Administrative Court today (3rd) held an interrogation date for the suspension of execution of a lawsuit filed by Chairman Lee against the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Chairman Lee was not present, but the chairman claimed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism suspended his duties, taking issue with the reasons that were merely suspicions.

He also stressed that the effect should be suspended, saying that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a hasty decision to prevent Chairman Lee from re-election.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism countered that the trust of the Korean Sports Council fell significantly because of the revelation of misconduct, and that the suspension of duty was legal.

Chairman Lee is under investigation for his involvement in selecting his children's college friends, such as easing qualification requirements when hiring employees for the national team camp two years ago.
