After President Yoon declared an emergency martial law, the National Assembly went back to the National Assembly for two and a half hours until the resolution to lift the emergency martial law was passed at the plenary session of the National Assembly on the morning of the 4th.

The first emergency martial law proclaimed in 45 years since 1979 has led to the first armed and rifle-wearing martial law forces entering the National Assembly by force.

Immediately after the declaration of the emergency martial law, the door of the National Assembly was closed, and only some identified personnel were allowed to enter.

At 11:40 p.m. yesterday, three helicopters, believed to be military, passed through the sky and entered the National Assembly, and soon after, soldiers with guns attempted to enter the main office of the National Assembly.

Armed from head to toe, the martial law army blocked the main gate of the main office with desks and chairs and scuffled with National Assembly aides trying to block it from entering the main office.

When the access road was blocked, some of the martial law forces made a detour to the People's Power Representative Office and broke the window to enter the National Assembly building, and in the process, some people fell or were injured while fighting with the martial law forces.

In front of the entrance to the main assembly hall of the National Assembly, where a meeting will be held to pass a resolution calling for the lifting of the emergency martial law, martial law forces and aides trying to block its entry were confronted.

Barricaded aides and others sprayed fire extinguishers to prevent soldiers from trying to enter the plenary hall.

Despite this confrontation, 190 lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties gathered at the plenary session hall to mind the plenary session, and a resolution calling for the lifting of the emergency martial law was passed with 190 in favor of 190 present.

Chairman Woo said at 1:02 a.m. that day, "The resolution to lift the martial law was passed by the National Assembly a little while ago. As a result, when the declaration of martial law was officially declared invalid, ruling and opposition lawmakers and other aides gathered at the Rotender Hall cheered and shouted, "We won."

With the resolution to lift martial law passed, President Yoon's declaration of emergency martial law ended in about two and a half hours as martial law troops withdrew from the National Assembly compound.
