Minjoo Proposes Impeachment of Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun on 'Commitment of martial law'

The Democratic Party of Korea said it has proposed an impeachment motion against Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, holding him responsible for the emergency martial law incident.

Minister Kim reportedly proposed to President Yoon Suk Yeol to declare an emergency martial law and prepared a martial law plan and implementation.

The National Assembly's National Defense Committee will hold an urgent questionnaire tomorrow at 10 a.m. against Minister Kim and Army Chief of Staff Park An-soo, who served as martial law commander.
