Gimcheon Branch of Daegu District Prosecutors' Office
The personal information of Yang Jeong-ryeol (31), a robber killer who murdered a man of the same age and even received a loan through the victim's fingerprint, was released today (12th).

The Gimcheon branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office will release Yang Jeong-ryeol's name, age and photo on its website for 30 days from this day.

According to the Act on the Disclosure of Personal Information, such as Suspects of Specific Serious Crimes, names and ages can be disclosed when the means of crime are cruel, serious damage has occurred, and there is sufficient evidence to believe that the suspect has committed the crime.

Yang Jeong-ryeol is the first case in which the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office disclosed the identity of the suspect during the investigation phase.

Yang Jeong-ryeol was caught a week later after killing an unspoken man he encountered at an officetel in Gimcheon on the 12th of last month.

He packed the victim's ID and cash card and paid millions of won at convenience stores and lodging facilities.

In addition, he was arrested and sent to the prosecution on the 28th of last month on charges of taking out 60 million won in non-face-to-face loans (robbery murder) using the fingerprints of the deceased victim.

He was found to have thoroughly prepared for the crime, such as preparing a weapon before the crime and trying to abandon the body after the crime.
