The Independent Counsel for Insurrection Act passed the National Assembly plenary session...a vote in favor of five members of the ruling party

The National Assembly plenary session passed the special prosecution law to investigate the illegality of the emergency martial law declared by President Yoon Suk Yeol on the 3rd.

The independent counsel bill was approved at the plenary session of the National Assembly with 195 out of 283 people present, 86 against and two abstentions.

The subject of the investigation includes charges that the President declared unconstitutional and illegal emergency martial law that did not meet the emergency martial law requirements and neutralized the National Assembly's control over martial law.
It included charges of illegal arrest of lawmakers, politicians, and journalists, including the chairman of the National Assembly
.

The People's Power decided on the opposition party and participated in the vote, but five lawmakers, including Ahn Cheol Soo, Kim Ye-ji, Kim Yong-tae, Kim Jae-seop, and Han Ji-ah, voted in favor.
