Descendants of Korean-Americans in Cuba visited our country and had a time to look back on the footsteps of our ancestors.
In February, Korea re-established diplomatic relations with Cuba for the first time in 65 years, and the Overseas Korean Administration invited them to celebrate this.
Koreans looked around Daejeon Memorial Park and developed Seoul and reflected on their pride as Koreans.

is a patriot who moved to Cuba in 1905, funded independence for the provisional government, and devoted his life to the independence of his country.
When I think of the adversity my grandfather went through, Nora's heart trembles in front of the grave.

To commemorate the re-opening of Korea-Cuba in February this year, the Overseas Korean Administration invited Teresa Uerca Gin and Maioli Sanchez to Korea along with Nora.
As a descendant of Cuban Koreans, it was a good opportunity to reflect on the identity of Korean Americans.
At Namsan N Seoul Tower, I hung a lock of love hoping that Korea and Cuba's strong relationship would continue.
