Russia has said it agrees with Hungarian Prime Minister Orban Viktor's proposal for a Christmas truce and a large prisoner swap.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he fully supports Orban's efforts to find a peaceful solution and resolve humanitarian issues.
Earlier, Russia and Hungary said on the 11th that Prime Minister Orban had proposed a Christmas truce in a call with Putin, but did not disclose details.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Orban, saying that no one should try to promote himself at the expense of unity.
Dmytro Litvin, an aide to the president's office, said there had been no prior notice from Hungary, stressing that Ukraine needed just peace, not media play.
