After the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol was passed, a recording of the closed general meeting of the people's power was reported, and Rep. Lee Chul-kyu, a pro-Yoon-gye lawmaker, protested that the content was maliciously edited to demonize a specific group.
In a call with YTN, Lee said it would be appalling to record and disclose private discussions of lawmakers, and asked if it was aimed at glorifying certain people and manipulating public opinion.
"As long as the recording of the general meeting of lawmakers was released, psychologically, the camaraderie relationship is out of the question," he said, adding that it is pathetic to see no one in the party in favor of martial law and to make a fuss about taking power even though there are only differences in solutions.
Another pro-Yoon-Kye lawmaker also said, "It's a shame that our party members became like this," stressing that the leadership should take action on this issue as it cannot be moved on without anything happening.
Earlier, a media outlet reported a recording file containing remarks by some lawmakers calling for the resignation of then-Representative Han Dong-hoon at a closed-door general meeting held shortly after the impeachment of President Yoon was approved at the National Assembly on the 14th.
