A fire in Gyeongsan apartment... "Inattentive handling of candles after a birthday party."

A fire broke out on the first floor of a 17-story apartment building in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, at around 4 a.m. today (22nd) and was extinguished in 40 minutes.

In the fire, a resident in his 60s was taken to a hospital after inhaling smoke, and all the household items inside were burned down.

Police and fire authorities believe the fire broke out due to the mishandling of candles after a Christmas party at the house where the fire broke out, and are investigating the exact circumstances.
