Tickets One Million Won Opera 'Turandot' Delayed by 30 Minutes due to Seat Errors..."Is it a school arts festival?" Discontent explodes.
The opera "Again 2024 Turandot," which is unknown for its luxurious casting and production cost of 20 billion won, has been criticized by the audience since the first day of the performance, showing a total crisis such as seat allocation errors, visual field limitations, poor sound, and delay.

The "Again 2024 Tourandot" held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 22nd, was delayed by 30 minutes due to problems such as disappearing or overlapping reservation seats even before the performance began. According to a review of major ticket reservation sites, some audiences were assigned to other seats because the reserved seats disappeared or refunded because there were no seats at all.

Even after the start of the performance, the inexperienced operation continued. There were also opinions that the stage was not visible properly due to being covered by the pillar, and complaints that the sound was too small or that it was heard due to a mixture of noise. Critics pointed out that the screen showing the stage was also too small, inconsistent with the subtitles, or there were many typos.

In particular, VIP audiences, who paid 1 million won for the ticket, expressed anger, saying, "I sat on a plastic chair and looked at the pillar," and "It was a performance that was not as good as a local school arts festival." Apart from the outstanding skills of the cast, he strongly criticized the organizers for their inexperienced management skills.

This performance was aimed at recreating "Turandot," which was held at the Sangam World Cup Stadium in 2003, and drew attention by casting world-class masters such as Placido Domingo and Jose Kurra with a production cost of 20 billion won. However, the audience's expectations turned into disappointment due to poor performance management.

Currently, audiences are strongly protesting, demanding refunds or even compensation for damages. In response, YTN asked the "2024 Turandot Cultural Industry Company", the organizer of the performance, to enter, but could not receive an answer.

Meanwhile, this situation is a prime example of the failure of "Again 2024 Turandot" to operate basic performances despite its spectacular casting and huge production costs. Attention is focusing on what kind of responsibility the organizers will take for the incident and what kind of compensation they will provide to the audience in the future.
