In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea released a related recording, saying that Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the alleged intervention of the nomination, was also involved in a strike by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering's subcontracted workers in July 2022.

According to the released recording, Myung claimed that he received it because he asked the management of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering to make a report, even though he said he did not know it well.

He then said, "I reported it because the president and his wife asked me to report it," and claimed that he reported to suppress it hard.

He added that after he reported, Prime Minister Han Deok-soo urgently convened Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon and others at the time.

The Democratic Party of Korea raised suspicions that Myung's claim was consistent with the government's response at the time, and that he actually visited the Geoje shipyard and was greeted by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering's management, and that he also met then Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jung-sik.
