The Ministry of National Defense said it suspended the duties of two brigadier general, Gusamhoe, the 2nd armored brigade commander of the Army, who took a leave of absence and headed to the intelligence command office in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, and Bang Jung-hwan, the TF commander of the Ministry of National Defense, who attended the so-called Hamburger Meeting.
The Ministry of National Defense said the two were put on standby as units in the Seoul metropolitan area in consideration of investigation conditions.
As a result, the number of active generals suspended from their duties has increased to nine, including four commanders, including the former martial law commander, Army Chief of Staff Park An-soo, and Moon Sang-ho, the intelligence commander.
