Jeju Air expressed its condolences and apology for the casualties of the plane crash at Muan Airport in Jeollanam-do and said it would make every effort to support the bereaved families.
Jeju Air CEO Kim Yi-bae issued a public apology at the Mayfield Hotel in Seoul at 2 p.m. today (29th) and said he feels responsible as CEO regardless of the cause of the accident.
Jeju Air also stressed that it will do its best to determine the cause of the accident, saying it currently has to wait for the government to announce an official investigation.
He also explained that he will support the accident response headquarters if there is a separate request, such as moving to the site, as the issue of support for bereaved families is an urgent priority.During the question-and-answer session with reporters, CEO Kim
explained that there was no accident history of the aircraft in the accident and that there were no abnormal signs in the results of regular maintenance.
