The Presidential Office held an emergency senior meeting this morning (12/29, Sunday), presided over by Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok in connection with the aircraft accident in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do.

As a result of the meeting, the presidential office and the national security office decided to maintain an emergency response posture around the clock, centering on the state affairs office.

At the meeting, the presidential office discussed ways to cooperate and coordinate work among relevant ministries to thoroughly identify the cause of the accident and the exact facts and to ensure that the response system, including available personnel, structures and medical support, is fully established.

The president's office previously shared the acting presidential order Choi Sang-mok to make all-out efforts to save lives by mobilizing all available equipment and personnel, and separately reported the results of the morning meeting to the acting president.

It was also proposed to hold an emergency plenary session presided over by the acting authority.

In addition, if necessary, it will hold a senior meeting from time to time and share it with the acting authority and related ministries.
