Regarding the concrete structure in which the Jeju Air passenger plane crashed, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport maintains its attitude that it was installed in accordance with regulations.
However, when I checked the standards, guidelines, and manuals published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport at YTN, there were a series of parts that did not meet the regulations.
It looks like a thorough investigation is needed.

The Jeju Air plane, which had an accident at Muan Airport, exploded after hitting a concrete structure made under the localizer antenna.
Amid controversy and criticism that the structure caused the accident, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport reiterated that it was "installed in accordance with regulations."
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, a "terminal safety zone" of a certain distance is set at the end of the runway, and all equipment installed in it is made of fragile material, light and low to ensure safety.
However, there is no problem because this antenna facility is four to five meters out of this area.
[Joo Jong-wan / Director of Aviation Policy Division, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: We have confirmed that the azimuth facilities are installed outside the runway end safety zone.]
However, as a result of the YTN report, a series of regulations were found that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's explanation did not match the facts.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's airport take-off and landing site installation standards, the longitudinal safety zone should be extended to the point where the azimuth provision facility is installed.
Furthermore, the airport design detailed guidelines further state that "the longitudinal safety zone should be extended to this facility because the localizer will be the first obstacle."
[Baek Seung-ju / Professor of Fire and Disaster Prevention at Open Cyber University: (It's understood that localizers should be included in the longitudinal safety zone.) That's right. I told you that we need to extend the terminating safety zone to the localizer.]
According to the navigation safety facility protection manual published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, it is more clear how wrong the facility has been installed. The
localizer shall be installed to allow easy passage from the slope point, and the support foundation shall be installed on soft ground at the same height as the ground surface.
However, the plane crashed into a hard and high structure from the front without passing at all and exploded immediately.
It is pointed out that it is necessary to thoroughly investigate whether there has been a proper review in the process of installing concrete structures that have caused accidents.
