Yoon explained that the court issued an arrest warrant in connection with the declaration of emergency martial law, an act of high governance, violating the president's authority to rule and privilege of non-arrest.

He also argued that the arrest warrant was illegal and invalid, saying that it was against the rule of law for the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, which does not have the authority to investigate, to request a warrant.

He expressed regret that it was also contrary to principle and precedent to request an arrest warrant from the Seoul Western District Court, not the Seoul Central District Court, where the original trial is expected.
