At around 10:25 a.m. today (4th), a 9.7-ton fishing boat with 22 people collided with a rock in the sea near Gageodo Island, Heuksan-myeon, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.Three passengers were killed when

sank a fishing boat in an accident, and 19 were rescued by the Coast Guard, fishing leaders, and fishing boats in the surrounding waters.

In addition, two of the rescued people complained of hypothermia and were taken to a large hospital, but their lives were not affected.

At the time of the accident, strong winds of 8-12m per second were blowing in the waters of Gageodo Island, and the height of the waves was relatively high at 1-1.5m.

The Coast Guard will investigate the exact cause of the accident against the fishing boat captain.
