When was North Korea's missile launch captured?
[Reporter]
The Joint Chiefs of Staff says North Korea fired missiles into the East Sea from Pyongyang around noon today.
Our military sees it as a medium-range ballistic missile, and the number of shots captured is one.
He also stressed that he has increased surveillance and vigilance in preparation for further launches.
He also explained that he is closely sharing information on North Korean ballistic missiles with the U.S. and Japanese sides and maintaining a full readiness posture.
North Korea's ballistic missile launch is the first since Yoon Suk Yeol's emergency martial law on the 3rd of last month and the first provocation this year.
It is the first time in two months that North Korea has launched a missile provocation since November 5 last year.
At that time, it was found that several missiles were fired about 400 kilometers into the East Sea from the Sariwon area of Hwanghaebuk-do.
North Korea has not provoked since former President Donald Trump was elected in the U.S. presidential election in November last year, but it has also provoked again two weeks before the president's inauguration.
