Hallasan Snowfall...Prohibition of mountain climbing and control of mountainous roads

In the strongest cold wave this winter, heavy snow fell on Hallasan Mountain in Jeju, and the daily minimum temperature reached its lowest this winter.

In Hallasan Mountain, where a heavy snow warning was issued, about 20cm of snow accumulated, and all climbing roads were blocked from entering the mountain, and some mountain roads were restricted.

The lowest daily temperatures, including 2.3 degrees in Jeju and 2.2 degrees in Seogwipo, also hit their lowest points this winter.

The Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration said that snow will continue until tomorrow (10th) and that we should prepare for no snow damage.
