China's "Tibetan Gangjin Deaths 126 and Lee Jae-min More Than 60,000"

Local authorities said more than 60,000 people were displaced by the earthquake in L'Kazze City, the Xizang Autonomous Region in western China, on the 7th.

At the third briefing on the 9th local time, the People's Government of the Xi-chan Autonomous Region announced, "As of 6 a.m., 126 people were killed and the number of victims was 61,500."

Earlier, Chinese authorities counted 126 deaths as of 7 p.m. on the 7th, the first day of the earthquake, but the number did not change until two days later.

On the 8th, the Si-chan Autonomous Region government said, "The rescue and search work has already been converted to the movement of victims and disaster recovery work," suggesting that the rescue and search work has actually been completed.

The number of injuries, which was announced as 188 on the first day, increased to 337.

The earthquake occurred at 9:05 a.m. on the 7th in Lekazesh Dingre Prefecture.

The China Earthquake Networks announced the magnitude of the earthquake at 6.8 and the U.S. Geological Survey at 7.1.

The aftershocks have been going on for three days, and according to the Sizang Autonomous Region, there were 1,211 aftershocks as of 9:15 a.m. on the 9th.
