As the popularity of our agri-food and K-food continued, exports recorded the highest ever in the third quarter of this year.

The growth of rice-processed foods such as frozen gimbap has been remarkable, and in the case of ramen, demand in the Latin American market is increasing significantly.

Until the third quarter of this year, our agri-food exports recorded the highest ever.

Exports in the nine months of this year rose 8.3% to about 9.632 trillion won compared to last year, approaching 10 trillion won.

Rice processed foods increased by 41.6% by item, and ramen also rose by nearly 30%, breaking the all-time high along with snacks and drinks.

In particular, rice-processed foods are exported $217.9 million and expectations for growth are growing as they have already exceeded last year's end-of-year results.

This is because the demand for processed rice foods is steadily increasing in the United States, the largest market, and it has recently entered global online platforms and large Chinese retail stores. If

, Mexico's exports also rose 122.6%, more than doubling, quickly establishing itself in the Latin American market.

[Choi Ui-ri / Samyang Round Square Director: Ramen exports to Latin America are steadily increasing. As local consumers are highly receptive to noodles and spicy flavors and expand their sales power according to localization strategies, spicy ramen is gaining popularity.

However, exports of fresh foods such as pears and grapes have fallen by 0.6%, leaving a regret.

This is due to poor crop conditions in the first half of this year, and it is expected to act as a variable for continuous "K-food growth" as the supply situation cannot be guaranteed in the future due to climate change.
