The National Heritage Administration's Palace Relics Headquarters said it will open the entrance to Yulgok-ro between Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine and the North Newspaper of Jongmyo Shrine from today (9th).
Visitors can go from Changgyeonggung Palace to Jongmyo Shrine, and from Jongmyo Shrine to Changgyeonggung Palace, and they can also see the space connecting Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine.
This door opens every day during the "2024 Autumn Palace Cultural Festival," which runs from today to the 13th, and after that, it opens on the day of culture, which is the last Wednesday of every Saturday, Sunday, and holiday.
Starting with the "Changgyeonggung Palace-Jongmyo Connection History Restoration Project" in November 2010, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has completed the palace fence road in 2022 by undergrounding the existing road and creating a walkway on it.
