The late actor Kim Soo-mi went to sleep amid the seeing-off of her family and colleagues. Kim Soo-mi,
, was solemnly recognized at the funeral hall of Hanyang University Hospital in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at 11 a.m. on the 27th. The bereaved family held a service for the deceased, who was a Christian during his lifetime, and broadcasters Jung Joon-ha, Yoon Jeong-soo, Jang Dong-min, and producer Moon Tae-joo drove the coffin.
The ceremony was attended by bereaved families and entertainment acquaintances to see off the deceased's last way. Son Myung-ho, CEO of Morning Flower F&B, daughter-in-law actor Seo Hyo-rim, and daughter Chung Ju-ri were listed as residents. Seo Hyo-rim sobbed and wailed, "Mom, don't go."
Colleagues couldn't hide their sadness, either. Jung Joon-ha wiped his eyes with a handkerchief, and Yoon Jeong-soo and Jang Dong-min also lowered their heads with a heartbroken expression. Dozens of fans and colleagues, including actors Lee Sook and Kim Na-eun, were also present at the foot ceremony.
The portrait held in the hands of the bereaved family is a picture written on the poster of the movie "I Love You" (2011), starring the late Kim Soo-mi, and shows the pleasant and bright image of the deceased during his lifetime. After being seen off by his colleagues, the deceased headed to Honorstone, Yongin Park in Gyeonggi Province.
Actor Kim Soo-mi, who is from Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, debuted in 1970 as MBC's third open talent. He became a national actor in the drama 'The Country Diary' called 'Ilyong Tusk'. Drama, movies, and entertainment were loved for their active activities regardless of genre. He appeared in the
drama 'The Investigation Team Leader', 'Hello Francesca', the movie 'Barefoot Gibong', and 'The Glory of the Family' series, and until April this year, he was on the stage of the musical 'Friendly Mom', burning his passion for acting. The deceased
was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 25th and was transferred to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, but he died. He was 75.
During the funeral, the funeral parlor was lined with condolences from colleagues in the entertainment industry. Actors Shin Hyun-jun, Jo In-sung, Choi Ji-woo, Yeom Jung-ah, Jung Joon-ho, Hwang Shin-hye, Kim Yong-gun, Kim Young-ok, Park Won-sook, Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung, Yoo Jae-seok, Shin Dong-yup, Jung Joon-ha, Yoon Jung-soo, and Park Kyung-rim paid their respects.
