Suspicions of sexual violence were raised again in the Air Force, where the late Sergeant Lee Ye-ram died after being sexually harassed.
The Military Human Rights Center held a press conference yesterday (31st) and claimed that the former commander of the Air Force 17th Fighter Wing tried to molest and sexually assault a female lieutenant.
The center reported that second lieutenant A was sexually harassed by Colonel B, his immediate superior, at a company dinner in August, and that he suffered sexual harassment and attempted sexual assault after the company dinner on the 24th.
Afterwards, Colonel B committed a second offense to the executives who attended the dinner at the time, including conducting a guided interrogation and recording as if A had seduced him under the influence of alcohol, the center said.
The center also said that Lieutenant A submitted a complaint to the Ministry of National Defense's investigation headquarters, saying that Lieutenant A had also been asked to bribe Colonel B.
The Military Human Rights Center said it will file a complaint with the National Investigation Headquarters against Colonel B on charges of forced harassment such as soldiers.
