2024.11.01 PM 06:54
The Air Force said today that South Korea and the U.S. conducted a live-fire exercise involving drones from both countries for the first time.

The Air Force said that the Korean Air Force's high-altitude unmanned reconnaissance aircraft Global Hawk and the U.S. Air Force's unmanned attack aircraft MQ-9 Reaper, called the assassin of the sky, participated in the live-fire exercise.

The training was conducted in such a way that the MQ-9 Reaper, which received the target information obtained by South Korea's unmanned reconnaissance aircraft Global Hawk, fired a Joint Precision Strike (JDAM) to accurately hit the target.

Brigadier General Kang Geun-shin, head of the Aerospace Operations Division of the Air Force Operations Command, who planned the exercise, said that the first drone live fire was an opportunity to show the strong power of the alliance.
