DAY6 leader Sungjin released his first solo studio album "30" and announced a new beginning as a solo artist.
The album "30" captures the feelings and experiences Sung Jin felt as he turned 30 in 10 tracks. "It is an album that talks about universal emotions and situations that everyone has experienced at least once in their lives," he said. "I hope it will be a little comforting to those who listen to this story."
The title song of the album, "Check Pattern," is a song that unravels the intricately intertwined emotional lines of life such as meeting, parting, and regret under the theme of "Check Pattern." The combination of piano, guitar, bass, and drum sounds gives a deep resonance, and Sungjin's unique appealing vocal further enhances the emotion of the song.
The song increased its completeness by working with Lee Joo-hyung and singer-songwriter Jukjae of the production group Monotree. Sung-jin expressed satisfaction, saying, "Working with Lee Joo-hyung and Juk-hyung, it was an opportunity to add and learn ideas."
Sung-jin continued, "I focused on the message I wanted to convey through music regardless of the number of songs or album type. There is a lot of responsibility in the process of making an album, but the biggest attraction as a solo artist is that I have the freedom to reflect my opinions and choose," he said.
Lastly, Sung-jin delivered a sincere message to his fans, saying, "Thank you for waiting for a long time, and I prepared as hard as I waited," adding, "I hope I can take it out and listen to it whenever I want to hear it even after I forget it."
