Actor Jung Ho-yeon showed her presence in Apple TV+ "Disclaimer," her first Hollywood entry.
Disclamer, which was first released on the 11th, is a psychological thriller series about journalist Katharine (played by Cate Blanchett), who built a reputation by exposing other people's misdeeds, receiving a novel from an unknown author. Jung Ho-yeon played Catherine's assistant "Jisoo" in the play.
Ji-Soo is a person who shows her respect for Catherine by listening to the trophy she received at the awards ceremony the day before and putting it in the best place at her desk. Meanwhile, he met with Stephen (played by Kevin Klein), the author of the novel containing Catherine's past, and caused a stir by informing the company of the existence of the novel.
Even though it was her first English acting, Jung Ho-yeon melted into the play with her stable vocalization and acting skills. In order to perform Catherine's instructions well, Jisoo drew attention by acting without missing out on her brightness and greed for work to see if she had hidden intentions. In particular, in the scene of listening to Catherine's story from Stephen, he showed detailed and clear facial expressions and depicted Jisoo's psychological changes about Catherine, adding to the immersion of viewers.
Jung Ho-yeon took her first step into Hollywood through "Disclaimer." Starting with world-renowned director Alfonso Cuarón, he was named as a cast member along with leading Hollywood actors such as Cate Blanchett and Kevin Klein. As a result, he attended the premier previews of the 81st Venice International Film Festival in August and the 68th London International Film Festival (BFI) in October, drawing attention.
