Preventing the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Cheongmichon, Yongin

The Gyeonggi-do Animal Sanitation Laboratory said it has completed quarantine measures related to highly pathogenic avian influenza that occurred in Cheongmichon, Yongin, and has even confirmed the safety of cow crude oil.

In particular, as H5N1 infections were recently reported on dairy farms in the United States, the Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory also conducted influenza tests on crude oil from 40 dairy farms in quarantine units in three cities and counties, including Yongin, Icheon, and Yeoju. As a result of the examination, it was confirmed that there was no abnormality in all farms.

In addition, the province also participated in the nationwide crude oil influenza test organized by the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Quarantine Headquarters from June to September.

Tests on all 235 dairy farms that were randomly selected at five milk farms in Gyeonggi-do were negative.
