Gwangbokhoe will hold a memorial ceremony for patriotic martyrs and patriotic governors at Seoul National Cemetery.

The Liberation Association announced today (15th) that it held a memorial ceremony for patriotic martyrs and patriots at the Seoul National Cemetery.

The Liberation Day was originally scheduled to be held at the Seoul National Cemetery, but the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs did not approve the application for the rental of the Liberation Day, so it was held at the temporary government's cemetery in the Seoul National Cemetery.

Earlier, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs explained that November 17th National Election Day was an anniversary established by the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea in 1939, and has been designated as a government anniversary since Korea's liberation.

The Liberation Association and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs have recently been at odds with the appointment of the Independence Hall of Korea and holding separate Liberation Day events.
