Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong has been selected as the 100 most influential entrepreneurs by Fortune, a leading U.S. economic magazine.

Chairman Lee ranked 85th out of 100 people and was the only one among the heads of the country.

Pocheon introduced Chairman Lee as the chairman of Samsung Electronics and the richest man in Korea, who was trained for a long time to succeed his father, Lee Kun-hee, the former chairman of Samsung Electronics.

As for Samsung, it is the world's top memory chipmaker but lags behind its rivals in the hottest market, he said, adding that the stock has fallen this year but has doubled since 2017.

Tesla Inc TSLA CEO Elon Musk, a close ally of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, topped the survey.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang came in second and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella came in third, with world big tech CEOs at the top.

Pocheon selects 100 leaders in 40 industries by comprehensively evaluating management performance, business soundness, and innovation, including mid-term sales and profit growth.
