Regarding the Supreme Court's recent ruling to disclose the list of the Gangwon National Police Agency's investigation review committee, Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Investigation Headquarters, said it is desirable to keep the list private.
Woo, head of the National Investigation Headquarters, said at a press conference today (25th), "I respect the Supreme Court's judgment, but this ruling is about the Gangwon Police Agency case and is too much to apply in all cases."
In the past, other lower courts have also ruled to keep the list of investigative review committees private, adding that they intend to review the purpose of the Supreme Court ruling and come up with measures to improve the system.
Earlier on the 14th, the Supreme Court ruled that the Gangwon Police Agency, which refused to disclose the list of investigation review committees, should disclose a lawsuit asking for cancellation of the disposition.
