The central inland line of the railway from Icheon, Gyeonggi Province to Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, will open on the 30th after completing the second phase of construction.
The Central Inland Line will operate four times a day, up and down, improving access to the metropolitan area for residents in western North Gyeongsang Province, and making it easier for tourists to visit North Gyeongsang Province.
The Jungbu Inland Line will go through additional construction in the future and run through Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do.
Gyeongsangbuk-do expected that five new railway lines, including the Jungbu Inland Line, will open by the end of this year, which will help local tourism, revitalize the economy and develop balanced development.
