Apartment prices across the country, which turned downward for the first time in half a year last week, have fallen even more this week.
Apartment prices nationwide were negative 0.02 percent this week, up from 0.01 percent the previous week's decline, according to the Korea Real Estate Agency today.
Apartment prices in Seoul, which had remained up 0.06% for two consecutive weeks until last week, also fell to 0.04% this week, while provinces excluding the Seoul metropolitan area saw their declines rise for three consecutive weeks, down 0.05% this week.
Jeonse prices for apartments in Seoul recorded their 80th consecutive week of gains, but the rate of increase shrank for the sixth week to only 0.02%.
Apartment lease prices in the Seoul metropolitan area also rose to 0.03% and the provinces remained flat for two consecutive weeks, with apartment lease prices nationwide also rising only 0.01% this week.
