Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who met with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who foresaw a 25% "tariff bomb" on Canadian products, said he had a very good conversation with Trump.
Prime Minister Trudeau told reporters after a dinner meeting with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Friday local time.
An official familiar with the meeting told the Associated Press that the dinner lasted three hours, with a wide range of topics including trade and border security, drugs, Ukraine and China.
Trump did not comment on the meeting.
Prime Minister Trudeau is the first G7 leader to meet with Trump.
