The Democratic Party of Korea has proposed a revision to the law to reduce the scope of the "third party bribery" charge applied to Lee Jae-myung due to the Seongnam FC suspicion.
The People's Power is also protesting that the Democratic Party of Korea has also proposed a bill that can cover up the "suspicious money envelope at the convention," and that it is an attempt to go beyond bulletproof and eliminate crimes altogether.

Last month, 23 Democratic lawmakers, including Joo Chul-hyun, proposed a law revision to reduce the scope of punishment for "third-party bribery" under the criminal law.
In the case of public interest purposes, the state or local governments add provisions that are excluded from punishment.
However, controversy over the "bulletproof legislation" arose over the fact that the amendment dealt with the "third party bribery crime" applied to the Seongnam FC allegations of Lee Jae-myung.
It reflects CEO Lee's defense logic that the 10 billion won donation delivered to Seongnam FC in exchange for the construction company's license is only part of the active administration.

In addition, a series of bills have been proposed to prohibit prosecutors who investigated the case from participating in the trial or to impose a six-month statute of limitations on violations of the party law applied to the "money envelope suspicion" at the convention, resulting in similar controversy.
The people's power shot back, saying, "Since the Democratic Party of Korea was not going to be innocent, did it decide to eliminate the crime altogether?" Rather, it should create the "extraordinary power" of the Democratic Party of Korea politicians.

All the lawmakers who proposed the law drew a line that it had nothing to do with Lee's trial or the money envelope allegations.
They have been planning a motion in the past, or they needed a revision of the law to align equity with other laws.
The ruling party criticized the revision of the election law, which removes the "crime of publicizing false facts" proposed by the Democratic Party, as intended to "save Lee Jae-myung."
As the president's right to demand reconsideration is expected, it will be difficult to overcome the threshold of the plenary session, but it seems clear that it remains a spark of conflict between the ruling and opposition parties in the process of discussing each standing committee.
