In a statement, the heads of metropolitan and provincial governments under the People's Power expressed deep regret over President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of emergency martial law and urged President Yoon to apologize.

The People's Power City and Provincial Governors' Council said it is deeply sorry for causing great confusion to the people, politics and the international community, adding that President Yoon should apologize to the people and express a clear stance on future measures to stabilize and reform state affairs.

In addition to ensuring that people's lives are not inconvenient, President Yoon said that necessary measures should be taken to manage external risks so that there are no national credit and economic instability.

In the wake of this incident, the city and provincial governors of the people emphasized that they will do their best to ensure that the people do not feel uncomfortable in their daily lives and expect political activities that only consider the future of the people and the country based on the spirit of the constitution and the rule of law.

At the same time, he added that it was fortunate that martial law was lifted immediately after the National Assembly passed its demand for the lifting of martial law after the declaration of emergency martial law and that our society was confirmed as a mature democracy.
