The Democratic Party of Korea said it is almost ready to impeach Yoon Suk Yeol's president, and that it will be proposed today (4th) and reported at the plenary session tomorrow (5th).
Senior spokesman Cho Seung-rae told reporters that President Yoon's emergency martial law constitutes a clear rebellion.
He then pushed for the impeachment of Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun and Public Administration and Security Minister Lee Sang-min, and announced that he would also file charges against those who participated in the military and police rebellion that invaded the National Assembly and blocked lawmakers from entering the parliament, including martial law commanders and police chiefs.
He also argued that President Yoon should suspend his duties immediately as it is not known whether he will attempt to harm the safety of the people and the national security, saying he does not know what else he will do in a corner.
