A Ukrainian drone found a Russian soldier smoking a cigarette for the last time before his death.
On the 5th (local time), Ukraine's 54th Mechanized Brigade K-2 Battalion released a video showing the last moment of a Russian soldier filmed by a drone on social media (SNS), saying, "After the occupiers failed to attack, drone pilots scouted the battlefield and removed soldiers hiding in the forest area."
According to the video, the K-2 battalion used drones to scout the forest area and found a Russian soldier lying injured.
Likewise, the Russian military, who found the drone, made a gesture to the drone that they wanted to smoke, took a cigarette out of their pocket and bit it in their mouth, but failed to light it as if they were nervous.
After several attempts, the soldier lit only one cigarette, but he was wary of the drone while smoking.
After smoking one cigarette, I tried to take more cigarettes out of the cigarette pack, but the bomb fell straight from the drone. The soldier curled up, and the video ends soon after with the smoke spreading thickly.
"You can find the phrase 'smoker dies early' in the cigarette pack, and the death of this Russian soldier came much faster than he thought," the K-2 Battalion said. "He chose his right to smoke his last cigarette."
Meanwhile, Britain's Ministry of Defense found that 45,680 Russian military casualties were recorded last month, the highest on a monthly basis since the war broke out in February 2022. In particular, more than 2,000 casualties were reported on the 28th of last month, the largest daily scale.
