2024.12.12 PM 06:36
Six opposition parties, including the Democratic Party of Korea, jointly proposed a second impeachment motion against Yoon Suk Yeol's president.

Rep. Kim Yong-min of the Democratic Party and floor leader Cheon Ha-ram of the New Reform Party submitted an impeachment motion to the National Assembly's bill department.

The 46-page impeachment bill said that President Yoon declared emergency martial law because he was dissatisfied with the National Assembly's proposal for impeachment and the government's budgeting, and that he betrayed the trust the people gave to the president.

Representative Kim Yong-min said that after submitting the impeachment bill, this time, ruling party lawmakers also participated in the impeachment vote and urged them to pass the impeachment bill as soon as possible without becoming a sinner of history.

The opposition party will vote on President Yoon's second impeachment at the plenary session at 5 p.m. on the 14th.
