U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to raise tariffs significantly in the event of non-compliance, demanding the European Union (EU) to purchase large amounts of U.S. oil and gas.
"The EU must purchase US oil and gas on a large scale to compensate for the huge US trade deficit with the EU," Trump said on social media's Truth Social. "If you don't do that, tariffs will be imposed until the end!!!I posted," he wrote.
'Tariff' was highlighted in capital letters (TARIFFS) and finished with three exclamation marks, a unique SNS style.
In addition, with the crisis of "government shutdown" approaching due to the failure of the budget bill in the U.S. Congress, Trump argued that "Congress should either abolish the ridiculous debt limit altogether or extend it until 2029.
President-elect Trump continued his "SNS politics" similar to his first term by posting such posts one after another at around 1 a.m. Eastern time.
If we don't do that, we won't agree at all," he said.
